For EUM to be able to interact successfully with the EUM Config site, which is a SharePoint site, you will need to setup a Member type of user in your Azure AD and give it a Member access to the EUM Config SharePoint site. This could be a Service Account, and should not have any elevated access other than the Member access to the EUM Config site.
After the user account is created, follow the following steps:
- Login to Azure Portal and go to the EUM Resource Group
- Click on the "sharepointonline" API Connection
- Click "Edit API Connection" in the left hand menu
- Click the big “Authorize” button
- This will open a login prompt
- Login with the user you would be using to connect to the EUM Config SharePoint site
- Click Save
- Navigate to the EUM Config SharePoint site and give the user a Member access. (Please refer to the article guiding on how to find the EUM Config site: Finding the EUM Config SharePoint site – ExtranetUserManager)
