Steps for Installing EUM V6

EUM V6 and V7 Installation will have the following steps, plus any other customizations that might have been planned for:

1. Entra ID (Azure AD) Review
2. EUM Installation Session A
3. EUM Install Part B
4. Branding
5. EUM Admin Walkthrough

Entra ID (Azure AD) Review

The installation process would start with a Entra ID Review session. We will walk through the Entra ID, and SharePoint and check if things are in place. We will also collect a few information before we could go ahead with the EUM Installation. You would need a Entra ID Global Admin access for this. The same account should have SharePoint Admin access.

EUM Installation Session A

• This will be a 30 minutes to 1 hour screen sharing session
• You would need a Entra ID Global Admin access for this. The same account should have SharePoint Admin access
• The session will create
  • The required App Registrations in your Entra ID
  • Grant required permissions to those App Registrations
  • EUM Config site in your SharePoint
  • Four EUM Groups (Entra ID Security Groups)
    • EUM Administrator
    • EUM Managers
    • EUM Group Creator
    • Portal Content Author
  • Give the EUM Administrator and EUM Managers groups access to the EUM Config site
• Create Guest Accounts in your Entra ID, one for each of the EUM Support staff attending the EUM Installation Session, and make these members of the EUM Administrator Group. These accounts will be needed so we can continue with the Part B of the EUM install.

EUM Install Part B

• We would not need a session
• We will deploy a dedicated EUM Resource Group within our Azure tenant and create EUM resources within (mainly App Services and Logic Apps)
• Update the EUM Config site

Branding

The EUM Portal will be branded as per your requirements. If Self Registration is a requirement, then this will also be deployed in this phase.

We will collect branding related data from you either by email, or in a meeting.

Once we have all the data, we will brand the EUM Portal and review this with you.

EUM Admin Walkthrough

Once the EUM is setup, we will schedule a 1 hour EUM Admin Walkthrough session with the audience who will be using EUM.
